Criminology and criminal justice degrees equip graduates for rewarding careers in the courts, corrections, law enforcement, victim services, juvenile justice, and many other agencies and organizations—professions that make a meaningful impact on society. Through an interdisciplinary curriculum and hands-on learning experiences, students develop a deep understanding of crime and the criminal justice system. Opportunities such as internships, observing real criminal trials in state and federal courthouses, and traveling abroad to explore global criminal justice systems enhance their education and prepare them for success in a variety of criminal justice fields.

TheÌýBachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal JusticeÌýat the University of Tampa is endorsed by theÌý, an international association established in 1963 to foster professional and scholarly activities in the field of criminal justice. ACJS promotes criminal justice education, research and policy analysis within the discipline of criminal justice for both educators and practitioners. An undergraduate program that has been awarded ACJS certification has demonstrated:
- a clear sense of its mission and how it fits within the academic institution;
- a sound curriculum that is designed to meet technological and societal change;
